Who is this?

Scalar Theorem is an underground bass artist whose intention is to provide high end low frequency vibrations that bring you into this present moment. The Scalar Theorem project is about 3 main pillars: Inclusivity, Identity, and Consciousness. These are topics that Scalar Theorem explores in his music and on a day to day basis in his own life. He has been honing his craft since 2011 and is always pushing himself to see where his art will go in terms of content and message.

Background and style

Scalar Theorem is the project of Steven Wilson, a music producer based out of Seattle. With his first EP release in 2017 through the Sugoi Creative Collective, he has been creating non-stop. Since his first few tracks, Steven has been drawn to alternative sounds and different directions ranging from raw unforgiving saw waves to beautiful, delicate melodies. It goes without saying that bass is also a huge factor in his productions.

Roots

Receiving his first guitar at the age of 12, Steven has been playing and creating music non-stop. He gravitated towards heavier and more energetic sounds as a guitarist. He drifted between a few bands until he was introduced to electronic music. His friend Ben showed him some Caspa and Rusko track and Steven was instantly hooked. In 2010 Steven started exploring the electronic music scene. In the upcoming years he became more involved by diving into production. Steven decided to take college courses to help further his musical abilities.

Accomplishments

In 2016 Steven, High as Hell, and Feelmonger formed the Sugoi Creative Collective with the intention of promoting and bringing together artists of all mediums to collaborate and grow together. Steven has worked with artists such as Feelmonger, High as Hell, Smarty McFly, Taylor VanDuser, Mage Tha Blackheart, and Carbanzi. He also has a taste for bootlegs, with at least 5 under his belt. One bootleg in particular that has gotten attention is his bootleg of Cozza Frenzy by Bassnectar. Numerous songs of his have been played on the radio station WVOX 1460 AM “The Loony Bin.” Multiple DJs have dropped his tunes with enthusiastic crowd reactions.
